Located within the Acesur-Coosur facilities in Jaén, Carboliva utilizes a pyrolytic oven to transform this biomass into high-quality charcoal. This process not only aids in the extraction of pomace oil but also results in the production of approximately five thousand tons of coal from pulp and olive stone annually. The charcoal is renowned for its smokeless and odorless properties, making it an ideal choice for barbecues. Its briquettes have a long-lasting burn time of three to four hours, providing a calorific value of around 8,000 kcal/kg. With less than 5% ash and a moisture content of 8-12%, this charcoal is a superior alternative to traditional options.
